Just Where is the Best Place to Sell Your Rolex Watch?

The unthinkable happens. You get tired of your Rolex. Or it was a gift or an inheritance and you really didn’t want it that badly in the first place. Or it’s something else entirely. But you need to sell your Submariner, Datejust, or other Rollie.

What do you do? Where do you go? Where’s the best place to sell your watch?

You can try your local independent jeweler. They carry watches, right? Well, yes, but do they carry Rolex? In fact, do they know anything at all about Rolex watches? And do they buy watches off the street in the first place? Are they going to give you your best deal? Are they going to even know what your watch is worth?

You could try to sell it yourself. eBay and craigslist are two venues you could try. But how good of an ad or auction can you write? Can you talk up your watch enough to make people want to buy it? And, in the case of craigslist, do you want the hassle – maybe even the danger – of having a strange prospective buyer come to your house? Especially when that stranger might only be casing your house, believing you’re rich (since you’re selling a luxury watch) and have a lot of expensive items laying around.

If you choose eBay, scams and unethical buyers abound there for things like luxury watches. You can do your due diligence, educate yourself, check out prospective buyers, and probably dodge the scams. But do you have that kind of time? To be honest, you probably don’t.

One fast and reliable way to sell is to sell to Bob’s Watches, a “click and mortar” pre-owned Rolex dealer in suburban Los Angeles. Their Pre-Owned Rolex Exchange at allows you to buy, sell, and trade at published market prices. You can check out their buy and sell prices online.

Bob’s Watches makes it pretty easy. Basically, follow these steps:

Step 1:  Call Bob’s, or fill out the online form, and they will give you an estimate over the phone or via e-mail

Step 2:  Once you receive the estimate and agree with it, Bob’s will send you a mailer box with tracking info so you can track the box during shipment to them.

Step 3:  Pack and ship your watch to Bob’s.

Step 4:  Within an hour of receiving the box, Bob’s will give you their exact offer on your watch.

Step 5:  At this point you have two options. You can agree with the price and Bob’s will overnight you a check or wire you the money. Or, if you no longer agree or just decided not to sell your watch, they’ll ship your watch back to you overnight.

So if you’re looking to sell your Rolex, and time is worth a premium to you, Bob’s Watches is an option to consider.
