Make sure fly fishermen everywhere
have the best gear out there - YOURS!
Do you think its important for your sales people to understand fly fishing?
How about the people writing your ads? After all, your advertising and marketing materials and your website act just like another salesman.
So… do the people writing your ads know fishing?
Do they understand getting up before dawn and driving for hours to fish Tricos before it gets too warm? Or the unique joy of casting to rising fish in an April snowstorm? Or a cigar and a sip of whiskey at the end of the day?
Do they GET it?
I Get It - I Understand
I’m a fly fisherman. I’ve fished on two continents and throughout the American West. I’ve chased trout with a fly rod for 24 years. and I’ve taught fly fishing for 20.
I’ve bought and used a lot of gear in that time. I’ve even owned a fly reel company – but that's another story. The thing is, I’ve been where you are.
The bottom line is I know what you’re up against trying to sell your gear.
Ads That Sell
And I know how to write ads that sell gear.
I’m not an agency type who signs you up, then hands your account off to an intern who jumps online to try and figure out what fly fishing is all about. Those guys end up making your ads sound like every other ad across the industry.
Who wants that?
I understand how to find what’s unique about your product. I know the elements your message has to have to create maximum sales for you.
Your message needs to showcase your gear. It needs to discuss the benefits a fisherman will get from using it. Last, but far from least, your message needs to build your story until those same fishermen are practically drooling while they reach for their wallets.
So how do you get your message to do that?
Well, you could get an advanced education in writing ads that sell.
But there’s another way.
Here’s What You Could Do
If your gear is like everybody else’s gear, and you don’t mind being a little fish in a big river, you don’t need me. Having ads that sound like every other gear manufacturer out there is OK.
But if you want to STAND OUT from your competition, GET NOTICED by more fishermen, and SELL MORE GEAR, maybe we should talk.
